Paper Art

As a papermaker I craft objects and installations from my own handmade paper. I make a variety of papers fibers from indigenous plants and flowers growing in the Netherlands, such as flax, hibiscus, reeds, lavender, straw, and even kale. I also incorporate exotic fibers from around the world, including mulberry from Japan and Thailand, bamboo from Myanmar, and eucalyptus and yucca from Spain. To the paper pulp, I add inclusions from hortensia, leaves, grasses, and many other materials.
