My name is Betty Disco. I am a papermaker, paper artist, and abstract painter. Raised in rural USA, I now reside in the picturesque city of Doesburg in the Netherlands.
The landscapes of my childhood, particularly the distinctive territory near the Berkshire mountains and our family home -an observatory- have significantly influenced my artistic perspective. These experiences inspired a unique blend of flora, fauna, culture, and technical intrigue in my work. Recently, my creative focus has shifted toward the theme of ecological change, examining how evolving environments disturb the natural balance and beauty found in delicate habitats.
